Ingredients, nutrition and allergies

If you have the barcode of a Steenland product, please use this barcode search option to search for nutritional information and the ingredients of our chocolate. The chocolates we use are free from gluten, egg and sea shells, but contain cow’s milk and soya and may contain traces of nuts.

Nut and peanut allergy

The Steenland Chocolate factory is nut free and it is highly unlikely that peanut traces are present in our chocolate. Traces of peanut materials being present as a result of potential cross contamination at the beginning of the supply chain are estimated to be lower than 1 mg/kg. Independent analyses after processing into cocoa mass shows that peanut allergens were not present at a detection limit of 2.5 ppm.

Concerning the involuntary presence of peanut allergens in cocoa, we agree with the position of the ECA (European Cocoa Association) from June 2005.
