We believe we have a responsibility towards sustainability. That is why we work hard to minimize our impact on the environment and we encourage the use of people-friendly types of chocolate.
Sustainable practice
Our production processes are clean, energy efficient and cause hardly any pollution. Most of the waste is recycled. We are committed to reducing our CO2 footprint by investing in energy efficient equipment and processes.
Fair trade and organic chocolate
Although our chocolate coins, mini bars and solid shaped chocolates are made to satisfy our customers’ wishes, we offer and encourage the use of various available types of organic or fairtrade chocolate. Steenland Chocolate is certified to process UTZ certified and Max Havelaar Fair Trade chocolate. We also produce SKAL-certified organic chocolate and single origin chocolates.
